Calverton Cobras Roller Hockey Club is a friendly recreational (non-league) roller hockey club that plays for fun. At the moment we have made our own little league with 3 teams in. Each team plays each other 6 times (3 times at home and 3 times away). There is a 1 1/2 hour session most Friday nights at Calverton Leisure Centre from 7:15pm to 8:45pm. The current cost is £2.80 per session. A session usually consists of two parts: the first consisting of warm-up, practice and coaching, the second consisting of a scrimmage followed by penalty taking practice. It's great fun and an excellent way of keeping fit!
Occasionally, friendly competitive games are organised against other clubs who have teams of the same age range and ability.
Players must be aged between 9 and 17 (inclusive) and both boys and girls are welcome and you don't have to live in Calverton, it's just more convenient if you do.
A hard plastic puck is used, therefore, for their own safety, players require protective equipment i.e. helmet with cage, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, padded shorts and shin pads.
